All Library PCs are equipped with the software listed below. We are happy to help with software as much as we can. However, because of the complexity of many software packages (especially MS Office and SPSS), we encourage you to use the built-in help features and to search for help and tutorials online. Google is an excellent resource for "SPSS tutorial" or "Word styles and headings" or even "Excel chart wizard."
Library users have the following options for saving files: 3.5-inch floppy disk (second and third floor and guest PCs behind the reference desk only), a UTC MocsNet account, a USB "key" storage device, or a personal email account (mail an attachment to yourself). Lupton Library will be phasing out 3.5-inch floppy drives. The reason is that 3.5-inch disks are unreliable, easily broken, and have less capacity than the alternatives mentioned above.
