Echo Index Parameters
The Echo index covers the years 1906 to 1988. The primary focus of the index is people, buildings and landmarks, special events and programs, campus organizations and associations, and articles about different departments and offices of the University. Articles relating to the University presidents and chancellors are indexed only during the period they were not in office. Also, there is very little indexing for sporting events since it was felt that the researcher could scan issues of the Echo for the time period of the particular sport. At all times care was taken to index items of particular interest to individuals seeking information about various aspects of the University.
In this Index the subject of the Echo article is in the first column and the date for the issue is located on the corresponding line of the second column. The first number represents the year, followed by the month and then the day.
