Olive Webster Co Ky June 17th 62 I got home last Sunday, found all well, and much pleased to see me. Have been to Samsonville. Lib. has the finest boy I ever saw. She almost cried when she found you was not along. I believe all the folks would rather have seen you than me. Lib has made them all believe you were perfect, (and I endorse it). Father seems almost beside himself he is so pleased, I don’t believe there would be much more of a stir if “Old Abe” were to come here. People have come 10 miles to see me. I am not much better yet, but shall start for home some time next week. I have applied for an extension of thirty days leave. All the folks are well, shall go to see Maryann Saturday. Clarrisa goes with me. As ever your loving Husband J. T. Wilder
