Huntsville, Alabama

January 10, 1864

Dear Brother

I now write to let you know that I am well. At present we are back here at Huntsville again but are going to leave in a day or two for Trianna. The order was to leave this morning but a part of the Head quarter teams was gone and so we had to stay until they came back. Will you see the captain of my company and get my discriptive (sic) list and send it to me. There is several of the boys that have not got theirs either and Captain Lampson says you would oblige him if you would see the Captains of each company and urge them to send them to him. If you will send me mine direct to me in care of Lieutenant T. J. D. Preston and oblige me if you will take that bond of mine and send me five dollars on it. It will last me until we get our pay. I want it very much, give my best respects to Pet, Mr. and Mrs. Stewart and the children.

H.M. Wilder
