Eligibility:

The Lupton Library is required by U.S. copyright law and licensing agreements to authenticate users of library databases as a current UTC student, faculty, or staff member.

Eligible users may access library databases from off-campus via the Library's proxy server by authenticating (logging in) with a OneNet username (UTCID) and password.

Finding Your OneNet Account Information:

New UTC faculty and staff should automatically receive a OneNet username (UTCID) and password when theyjoin the university payroll.

New UTC students should receive theirOneNet username (UTCID) and password by U.S. mail, but may also obtain this by taking a photo ID to the Student Help Desk in the AdministrationBuilding on Palmetto Street (Monday - Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM).

Don't Know or Forgot Your OneNet Username and Password?

Users who have forgotten or not yet received their OneNet username (UTCID) and password may retrieve these using the UTCID Password Retrieval form, or by visiting the UTC Computer Help Desk in the Administration Building on Palmetto Street (Monday - Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM).

System Requirements:

Any browser that supports 128-bit SSL encryption and has cookies enabled can be used to authenticate off-campus access to UTC Library databases. Personal firewalls or security software such as Norton Internet Security may need to be reconfigured or disabled to permit this access-by-proxy.

Once authenticated, individual databases may perform or respond differently depending on the brand and version number of browser software you use. Current versions of Internet Explorer, Netscape, and Mozilla/Firefox are generally supported by database providers; some databases also require JavaScript be enabled, and may require Adobe Acrobat Reader to view full-text documents.
