Media and in-house AV equipmentMedia materials like CDs, DVDs, and VHS tapes are housed on the 1st floor of Lupton Library. CDs are located in wooden racks to the left of the Reference Desk as you enter the Library. Videos, DVDs and audiocassettes are located on open shelves just behind the computer workstation area to the right of the Reference Desk. Older sound recordings (record albums) are in storage and can be retrieved by asking at the Circulation Desk. Call numbers for all audiovisual items can be found in the Library's online catalog. Equipment for listening and viewing audiovisual materials is available on the 2nd floor. TV/video players, CD players, DVD players, audiocassette players, and record players for 45, 33-1/3, and 78 rpm records are all available. In addition to using library materials, users may also bring personal materials for viewing or listening. Ever had an old VHS tape, audiotape, or record that you wanted to transfer to DVD or CD? You can now also digitize older media in one of our library media rooms! To check out a key, please ask at the Circulation Desk.
Tech to check outWe now have the following devices available for check out! Please see our borrowing privileges for information about how long these items can be kept.Laptops Laptops are available at the circulation desk for current UTC students, faculty, and staff with their valid MOCS card, as well as courtesy card and TBR card holders with valid cards. These laptops allow wireless access to the Internet from anywhere in the Library and include Microsoft Office applications. ![]() ![]() Digital Cameras and Video Cameras Check out a Canon Powershot digital camera (A570 IS or A1000 IS) or a Flip video camera with USB connector at the circulation desk. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() E-book Readers Lupton Library has one larger Amazon Kindle DX and two smaller Kindle 2 models available for check out. ![]() ![]() Audio Recorders Zoom Handy Recorders are available at the circulation desk.
